Telling old wives’ tales
I know an old lady
There was an old woman”

chanting, “Ring around the rosie”
“London Bridges falling down”
“duck duck duck goose”
“Olly Olly oxens free”
playing hide-and-seek
via high levels of mercury

while staring into panoramic
natural history museums
of taxidermy with certainty 
like, “death and taxes”
as passing examples...
