excruciating details
orange shocks of hair
as recruitment standards
after hearing the first, "BLAM!!!"

shortening applicants
world's largest manufacturers
echoing assassins of a warming planet
unraveling flatterers come first

while nodding in acknowledgment
feeling deeply honored heaving hostile
undertones of permanent disposal
redefining how hearing aids are sold

underestimating the scope
of  "the blob that runs the body"
funnels of repositories
as trash-talked moth balls' projects

packed with clay
eventually abandoned
in ancient granite
hepatic control towers
metabolic talents and tasks

regenerating prowess's
moment-to-moment
energy demands
confessing to lifelong passions

searching for protein and fat
flipping to match our diurnal patterns
warding off the "bad" via extreme plasticity
practicing baseball tossing balls and batting:
"Strike One! Strike Two! Strike Three! You're out!"...
